The folly of elected officials trying to solve energy supply requirements and identify energy technologies is probably the best result of the recent federal energy legislation.
Do the markets always work well and efficiently?--Absolutely NOT.
But having energy policy and strategy determined by a collection of elected pander bears and pork barrel pigs is absurd. Most of them ( maybe all) are so out of touch that lobbyists, interest groups, and permanent congressional staff can lead by the nose and the elected representatives don't even realize it.
